Our Story

We are professional percussionists based in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. As experienced music educators, we know how important it is for students to play on a good-sounding, full-sized mallet percussion instrument during their study. And over the many years of teaching we noticed that acquiring a marimba can be a barrier for many. So we began searching for instruments to make available to our own students at reasonable rates without a long-term contract. We now offer our same hand picked instruments and personalized service to others in the region.

Why Rent?

Elementary and Middle School Students

A growing number of school band programs require percussion students to have a marimba at home for practice. 3-octave marimbas and 3.5-octave xylophones are great starter instruments; they have larger bars and a warmer tone than practice bell sets. However, purchasing a starter marimba is often a poor choice because they are eventually replaced by larger instruments once playing skills warrant it, or by other interests entirely. Rent from us without the obligation to buy.

High School Students

Many dedicated percussionists want access to a quality sounding marimba at home to improve their skills, but are not ready to afford the higher prices that come with them. When you are in need of a full-sized instrument for a finite period of time, we make renting a simple, affordable option.

College Students

Even with access to instruments at their institution, college students can benefit greatly from having their own designated instrument, especially when off campus over the summer months. Rent a 3 octave marimba or 3.5 octave xylophone to work on your two-mallet chops, or a 4.3 or 5 octave to practice your recital repertoire.
